The patch has a problem, I removed the check for -lresolv to add the check for -lnetwork for dn_skipname, res_query and res_querydomain. It would need to be copypasted again and the code is getting very verbose and repetitive. Is it not possible to simplify it a bit?

A patch is needed to build gloox for the Haiku operating system. Network functions are in a library called libnetwork. The patch is here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/haikuports/haikuports/master/net-libs/gloox/patches/gloox-1.0.23.patchset
